Flour — 320 g
Butter — 220 g
Salt — ¾ tsp
Sugar — 1 tbsp
Cold water — 4 tbsp. L.
Cherries, pitted — 3 stack.
Water 190 ml
Sugar — 100 g

American cherry pie


1. B bowl of the mixer place the flour, butter, sugar, salt and water. Mix well until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
2. Knead the dough and make it a ball. The dough put in a bowl, close with cling film and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
3. Cook the cherries for 10 minutes. Add the sugar and starch and, stirring, bring the starch until thick (over low heat for about 5 minutes). Let cool before you start making the pie.
4. Remove dough from fridge, divide into two unequal parts. A large part of roll out on the Board, generously sprinkled with flour, and then spread on a floured form. With a fork pierce the dough a bit so it does not burst, rising. Put the cherry filling on the dough.
5. Now take the smaller piece of dough and thinly roll it out. With a sharp knife cut into thin even and equal width stripes. Make a lattice decoration from strips of dough.
6. A lattice of dough on top brush the lightly beaten egg yolk to give a little Shine and blush cake. Bake for 45 minutes (or until Golden brown) at a temperature of 175 °C.
Allow the pie to cool completely.
