Pike baked in foil
Baked pike in the oven — the dish is not everyday. In ancient times it was served to the royal table and it was the decoration of the table. Pike meat is rather dense, so I decided to bake pike in foil with vegetables and lemon, as these ingredients will give the fish juiciness and taste.
We will need:
Pike — 1 pc
Onion — 1 pc
Carrots — 1 pc
Lemon — 1/2 pieces
Salt — to taste
For serving on the table:
Fresh vegetables or any garnish
The pike must be cleaned, washed, removed and internally rubbed with salt. Leave for 1 hour. Onions and carrots should be cleaned. Rinse off excess salt from the fish (the fish took salt exactly as much as necessary!). Lay the pike on the foil, fill the belly of the fish with vegetables (onions and carrots coarsely chop, cut the lemon into slices). Then pike tightly wrapped in foil, put on a baking sheet and put in a preheated oven. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. After the foil is unfolded and leave the pike to bake for another 10 minutes. Ready fish put on the dish, decorate at will. Serve the pike with grilled vegetables, fresh vegetables or any other side dish.
